A formal maze is not an expected sight for a native plant garden. There are however a wide range of local native plants that can be sculptured into different shapes and forms.
In this garden, we have selected eight types of plants to hedge, but they are by no means the only ones suitable for hedging. Where plants form poor branching at the base, lomandras or dianellas can be used as a “filler” to keep the screen dense to the ground.
This maze will eventually continue through a plant tunnel into the playground.
