Rural Support Program
Redland City Council introduced the Rural Support Program to assist landholders manage their property for improved environmental outcomes. It is free and voluntary.
Council's Rural Support Extension Officer will undertake property visits to offer on-going advice on various environmental issues that affect your property and provide long term planning advice.
Benefits to landowners include:
- development of pest plant and feral animal control programs
- development of fire management plans
- weed identification and control
- development of revegetation projects
- wildlife friendly fencing
- flora and fauna identification and monitoring
- access to training workshops
Qualifying for Rural Support
- Generally properties need to be larger than 6000m2
- Be located outside the urban footprint
